Tweeter Audio Level Adjustment : Fine-tune high-frequency highs and lows up to 3dB to suit room conditions and personal taste. Take full room audio immersion one step further by perfecting the details. Compensate for any acoustical configuration.
Superior XL-2 Installation Bracket : Sturdy, reliable design fit for easy installation in walls up to a full 2" thick. Specialty mechanical grip designed to minimize vibration regardless of installation format. Handles custom installation better than typical 1-1/2" bracket designs.

Designed for easier installation in your ceiling : This speaker uses JBL's XL-2 installation system. The rear legs can attach to ceilings up to 2" thick, giving you plenty of versatility when it comes to placement. Once installed, the included metal, zero-bezel grille seamlessly hides the speaker inside your ceiling.
High-performance drivers : The 280CSA has a 1" aluminum dome tweeter with an acoustic lens that dishes out sparkly, clear highs. An 8" polycellulose woofer delivers smooth mids and bass. The drivers are set inside an angled, acoustically optimized baffle that aims the speaker's sound and reduces diffraction and other types of sound-muddying distortion.
Directional overhead sound from JBL : JBL's new Stage 280CSA in-ceiling speaker was made to deliver focused, impactful sound where you need it most. The speaker uses an angled baffle that lets you point its sound towards your listening area even if it's positioned off-axis.
