Hisense 85E7Q PRO

The Hisense 85E7Q PRO and Hisense 85E7NQ are both 85-inch 4K QLED TVs aimed at large-screen home entertainment, but the E7Q PRO is clearly more gaming-focused. It offers a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 144Hz VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium, a faster 6ms response time and lower input delay. The 85E7NQ counters with a higher 6000:1 contrast ratio and 400-nit brightness, which can benefit general movie and TV viewing. Both models support Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, Filmmaker Mode, Quantum Dot technology, VIDAA Smart OS and AirPlay 2. For most buyers, the choice comes down to gaming performance versus conventional picture contrast.

Verdict

The Hisense 85E7Q PRO is the better overall choice, particularly for gamers and users with 120Hz or 144Hz gaming hardware. Its 144Hz Game Mode PRO, VRR, FreeSync Premium and ≤7ms input delay give it a substantial advantage over the 60Hz 85E7NQ. The 85E7NQ is still worth considering for primarily movie and TV viewing, especially if its higher contrast ratio and 400-nit brightness are priorities.
