of people must be wondering whether they can use their wireless headphones
together with a TV, as they must already be using it with their smart phones,
tablet and computer.
The answer is YES!!
If your TV has built-in Bluetooth capability connecting your wireless headset is just matter of few seconds. But if your TV does not support Bluetooth then also we can connect it by using an external device like Bluetooth audio transmitter.

How to connect your Bluetooth headset if your TV does not
Support Bluetooth?
As I mentioned earlier with the help of Bluetooth
Audio transmitter, we can connect our wireless headset to our TV which does not
support Bluetooth.
Bluetooth Audio Transmitter is an external tool
that adds Bluetooth to device in which it is connected thus transmitting audio
from one device to another device.
1. So the first thing one should have is a
Bluetooth transmitter.
2. Pair your Bluetooth headphone to the Bluetooth
transmitter.
3. Connect Bluetooth transmitter to your TV’s
headphone audio jack.
4. Connect it to the USB port to charge up the
adapter.
Note: if your TV does not support Bluetooth you need
to get one Bluetooth transmitter.
The TV
default setting is set to low to protect your hearing when using the
headphones. Only increase the volume up to safe limit so you don’t damage your
hearing.
How to use a gaming headset on TV?
These typically come with a base station that plugs into TV via analogue jack or optical and it works on radio frequency instead of Bluetooth.
PlayStation 4
Only specific Bluetooth headsets are supported by PlayStation by using wired headset and plugging them to the headphone jack on the controller may circumvent the restrictions.
Xbox One
Xbox One does not support Bluetooth, newer models
have in-built jack, so one need to get a stereo Headset Adapter which you can
connect to the bottom of the controller.
1. Connect your adapter to the digital audio out
optical port.
2. Connect that adapter to the USB port to give
them power.
3. Pair your headphone to that adapter.
Note: It is going to be wireless but it’s not going to use a Bluetooth connection, it uses an adapter which uses a 2.4 gigahertz technology.
Golden tip to fix Audio Lag / Lip-Sync:
1. Go to the TV Settings.
2. Click on Sounds.
3. Go to Expert settings.
4. Finally click on Audio Delay.
So, you can play around your audio delay to try
and get it synched up so it’s the same.
